Steamed Indonesian Tapioca Layered Cake (Kue Lapis Sagu)

This is one of my favourite asian dessert. so I hope you'll like it, too.

Recipe :

- 250 g Tapioca Starch
- 100 g Rice Flour
- 300 g Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 liter Coconut Milk
- Food Colouring of your choice

1.  In a large mixing bowl combine tapioca starch, rice flour, sugar, vanilla and salt .

2. Make a well in the center and slowly add the coconut milk and mix to a smooth batter.

3. Divide the batter into two even parts. One part green and one part white.

4. Heat up your steamer and grease your loaf pan with cooking oil.

5. Place the pan in a steamer. With a laddle soup, add 1 laddle soups of white batter to the pan. Steam for 5 - 6 minutes. With the same measurement, add green batter on top of white layer. Steam again. Repeat the  process until all the batter is used up.

6. Steam the whole contents for about 20-30 minutes until done. Allow to cool and slice it with a knife that is wet with water so it doesn't stick and have a nice smooth finish.
